Days of Egypt is a photo travel book (not yet published)
I spent the last five years taking photos all over Egypt. I found that could be a good idea to collect them in a book, a sort of guide for beginner photographers and travellers, to showcase the beauty of Egypt's amazing natural features, suggestions and landscapes.
The primary draft and layout design are now ready, missing only last chapter. It took me sixteen months and it is planned to be ready by winter 2019. I have done the designing and layout by myself. I have contacted publishing houses in Egypt, but they all apologised, saying tourism is sluggish in these days, and tourists are the main market for such book.
This is why I decided to try pre-selling the book in order to self-publish it. Your contributions will help me to bring such book to the hands of photography and travel enthusiasts, and to spread the beauty of the nature in Egypt.
The main idea is to spread the passion of travel and the beauty of Egypt, which is why half of the whole copies will be distributed free to public libraries, schools, art centres. That meant you are also sharing in providing art and the book to the students and the public.
When you buy the book, you will receive by April 2019 your signed copy and Thank you postcard.
If you wish to donate; Donors will be mentioned in the acknowledgement of the book, plus receiving a digital copy of the book. Please mention in the pre-order note that it is a donation
In order to complete the campaign, 150 copies have to be pre-sold. If that target is not reached, unfortunately, the project won't be complete; and money will be back to contributors.
"Days of Egypt" is designed to be very rich in content, with more than 200 original photos; it is also unique in its indexing based on day times rather than geography or timeline.
I made sure also it is inclusive of almost all natural Egyptian treasures, so it is kind of short reference for travel inspiration.
